BACK TO WHERE IT STARTED: J’ATETE VS VANDREZZER FC

Everything you need to know about Vandrezzer FC’s Nigeria National League (NNL) Matchday 7 fixture against J’Atete FC.

WHERE AND WHEN

VFC is on the road for the third time this season, this time, in Warri against J’Atete FC. The encounter holds today Saturday, March 19, 2022 at the Otu Jeremi Stadium, Ughelli by 16:00 GMT +1.

FORM GUIDE

The Lions are the highest scoring side in the NNL Group B1 of the Southern Conference, with 9 goals in the last six matches. VFC have scored three or more goals in two of the last three matches and have only failed to find the back of the net on two occasions this season (against Bendel Insurance and Gateway FC).

With a comprehensive 3-0 victory against Adoration FC last weekend, the Lions are currently 7th on the league table with 8 points. A win today against J’Atete will be VFC’s first 3 points on the road this season, and would take us to 4th on the log.

Meanwhile, J’Atete have endured a torrid start to the season with just one win in five matches. They’ve lost three times and drawn once, scoring twice while conceding seven.

J’Atete are however yet to lose a home game this season, gaining their four points at Otu Jeremi (1-1 vs Ibom Youth FC and 1-0 vs Campos FC).

HEAD TO HEAD

VFC made her NNL debut two years ago on the 30th of November, 2019 against J’Atete in Ugheli, losing 1-0 at the Otu Jeremi stadium. The return fixture was never played because of the season’s eventual cancellation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which disrupted activities all over the world.
