Following the suspension of all football activities in the country, our players and officials have embarked on an initial one month break, pending the lifting of the football ban by the Akwa Ibom State government and Nigeria Football Federation.

In a letter addressed to all football clubs in Akwa Ibom state, and signed by Akwa Ibom Football Association Chairman Emmanuel Ibah ” with effect from Saturday March 21, 2020
all football activities are to be halted as parts of moves to curb the novel coronavirus ”

Consequently players and officals, all posting a clean bill of health, have been released to be with their families. Our Head Coach, Rafael Everton has used the break to travel to his homeland in Brazil and will return immediately football activities resume.

Despite lack of competitive football this year following the NNL’s failure to resume after the Christmas/New Year break, the team has been in camp observing training and friendly match routines.

As we await resumption of football activities, players and officials have been tutored on how to stay safe from COVID -19 while they are on holiday.

We look forward to being back on the pitch soon as it is possible, as we pray that coronavirus is curbed sooner that later.

Meanwhile, you can stay tuned for regular updates on and across our social media platforms.
