The Lions are on the road to face 9th-placed Ekiti United on Sunday, April 3, 2022, at the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ado Ekiti by 16:00 Hrs GMT.

Undefeated in the last three matches, Makinde boys have dropped points from winning positions against J'Atete and Ibom Youths FC respectively. Our last victory came in that emphatic 3-0 demolition of Adoration FC in Lagos.

VFC have taken 8 points from a possible 15 and have only failed to score just once (0-0 vs J'Atete) in the last five matches. The 1-1 draw with Ibom Youths last weekend moved us a place up the ladder to 5th on the league table.

Meanwhile, Ekiti United have been solid at home with a 100 percent win record this season. They've lost all of their four matches on the road, with the most recent coming against Giant Brillars in Enugu, a 4-0 defeat last weekend, which led to the suspension of their coach, Kayode Olujongbe. They have scored just 4 goals this season (3 at home and 1 away).

The Champions of Lagos played Ekiti United over two legs last season, ending in an identical scoreline.

Kolawole Daniel's first half goal was enough for Vandrezzer FC to secure all three points at the Soccer Temple in Lagos on March 10, 2021. In the return fixture on June 6, 2021, Ekiti United benefitted from a second half penalty to score the only goal of the match.
