Players and officials Vandrezzer FC have returned to camp after a three-month break following the conclusion of the 2021/2022 Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

Upon arrival over the weekend , the Lions of Naija will have their first training session in Uyo tomorrow, Tuesday, with coaches: Patrick Udo and Alfred Madaki taking charge of the exercise.

Speaking on the team's return to camp and first training session, captain, Godwin Ekpo said:

"Always great to be back and seeing my teammates again after a long while. We are not sure about league's resumption date, but we remain grateful to the management for getting us back together to shape up."

VFC played the final match of the 2021/22 against Bendel Insurance on August 12, and went on break on August 31, 2022, but have now regrouped to get back in shape ahead of the 2022/2023 campaign.

A double-header pre-season clash with Sporting Lagos has been fixed for the second week of December to help the technical crew assess squad progress.

Though no kickoff date has been given for the NNL to take off, VFC will continue pre-season activities and remain on course for league football.
