Vandrezzer FC (VFC) face five time Premier League champions Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC), as two of the best teams in the Nigeria National League (NNL) lock horns at the Dipo Dina Stadium, Ijebu Ode on Sunday.

Here is the form of both teams and players to watch out for.

3SC's impressive start to the campaign seen them stay top of the group with 24 points from 9 games.

The Oluyole Warriors have won every competitive game they have played this season, until they were beaten 1-0 by Nnewi United last weekend.

That result, and the way Nnewi United exposed chinks in their defensive armour, would've given a fillip to VFC, who are fresh from a convincing 2-0 win over Stationery Stores.

The win against Stores cemented the Lions' second position on the table with 14 points from 8 games.

To further boost the morale in the VFC squad, reliable defender Jamiu Suleiman is back in action, having missed the match against Stores.

Players to Watch

Udom Ekerette is the VFC player to keep an eye on.

The versatile player who won VFC March Player of the Month award, is solid at the back and has scored in his last two games.

Also, recipient of the VFC Goal of the Month award, attacker Amos Okoro, would be looking to score another stunning goal, like the one against Stores FC last weekend.

For 3SC, Malomo Taofeek has been their engine room in midfield, while pacy forward Gafar Olamilekan has been their danger man in attack.

With nine league goals to his name, Olamilekan will likely pose the biggest threat to VFC, but the attacker can expect a stern challenge from a compact VFC defence.

Head to Head

It is the first time VFC and 3SC will be trading tackles in either a competitive or freindly game.

Fans won't be allowed into the stadium for the game but can follow the broadcast on VFCTV via the VFC mobile app which is available on Play Store and iOS.
