MATCH PREVIEW - 7 NEW PLAYERS NAMED IN VFC MATCH DAY SQUAD Vs DYNAMITE FORCE

Seven new Lions are in line to feature for VFC this afternoon, as we kick-off the Nigeria National League (NNL) second round with a Week 12 fixture against hosts Dynamite Force of Iyamho, Edo State.

In a bid to ensure we hit the ground running, we have beefed up the squad with some quality players. The players are a product of a two week screening and selections exercise held at the Lions' home ground in Lagos , which eventually climaxed with the team playing three friendly games, to ascertain capability of shortlisted players

The new players are :

Signed from one of the foremost Lagos-based football academies - Sidos FC Academy. Hugely talented. Played for Stores FC and a member of the Silverado winning Team Lagos to the recently concluded Edo 2020 football tournament.

*PAUL EMENIKE (22)*

Experienced shot-stopper formerly with the defunct Ikorodu Utd FC and Crown FC.

*AKERE SAMUEL (17)*

Signed from G-12 football club and featured prominently with the current National U-17 that qualified to represent Nigeria at the aborted African Qualifier in Morocco for FIFA U-17 World Cup, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

*JOSHUA SUNDAY (20)*

Popularly referred to as "Kante", Joshua is recruited from the glorious amateur side - Collins Edwin FC.

*OPARA ABRAHAM (19)*

Another signing from Collins Edwin FC. Lanky and hugely intelligent Center Back.
