HOW IT HAPPENED
Coach Rafael Everton made changes to the side that played Abia Warriors last week, with Brazilian midfielder Alberico Da Silva, Captain Onyekachi Akakem and goalkeeper Anderson Okekem notably missing from the matchday squad. In the 2nd half, Dakkada FC goalkeeper made a great save from Mark’s cross to deny us the opening goal and Ajong had a shot saved from the free kick before substitutes Oloye Felix and Anietie Uko, both had shots saved by Dakkada FC goalkeeper.
Coach Everton made four substitutions in second half, bringing on Ipaye Michael for Lawrence Effiong and Amos Okoro for David Mark, before Ivo Júnior left for Damilare Babatunde and Golden Udoh coming in for Kolawole Daniel who seemed to have picked up knock after hounded to the ground a couple of times during his stay in the game. While the likes of Ekerete Udom and Godwin Ekpo were gallant at the defence, the attacking substitutions brought life into the game. Towards the end of the game, the Lions pushed on for the winning goal, but were denied by some good defending and goalkeeping by the opposition.
