Vandrezzer Football Club can today confirm that professional footballer, Michael Nelson’s contract has been terminated by mutual consent.

The talented offensive midfielder has departed from the team after agreeing to the early termination of a deal that was due to expire in July 2021.

"It had a great time. I was privileged to see another kind of football management and vision, other than what I have seen before. I am proud to be among the team that brought great innovation to Nigeria football" said the defensive midfielder who wore jersey number 11 during his stay with the club.

He added: "I wish the team success, I encourage the team and management not to give up their dreams and vision, not to be discouraged by all those factors that had tried to stop the innovation and path VFC is bringing to Nigeria football."

"For the players I left behind, I encourage them to fight hard and defend the badge and their names, so as to keep winning. Lastly I encourage them to make good savings of their salary as VFC is a team that doesn't owe."

Vandrezzer Football Club Team Manager, Fatai Olayinka said, "We thank Michael Nelson for his efforts in VFC shirt and wish him nothing but the very best in both his sporting and private life."

The door at Vandrezzer FC will always be open for the 'Nelson, he will always remain a part of the Vandrezzer family."
