NIGERIA FOOTBALL TRANSITIONAL PHASE : VFC INPUT

Africa’s greatest story teller Chinua Achebe once wrote: “It is the storyteller who makes us what we are and who creates history”.

For Vandrezzer FC, the telling phase so far has been action-packed, in a swift move to redefine the dynamics of football club management in Nigeria.

Seven months on, a look at our historical birth in September 2019 through the transitional input from club football to harnessing young talents, developmental structures online and offline, one can attribute it to a step in the right direction.

The football journey itself actually started at the grassroot level when few years back precisely 2016, the first edition of the Joe Udofia Unity Cup was staged. It was the passion, drive and curiosity to be one of the change agents of how football is run in Nigeria, that gave rise to VFC in 2019.

With the target aimed at redefining football club management in Nigeria, here’s a look at three key steps we’ve taken so far:

*Renovation of facilities*

A visit to the Ikot Ekpene Township will convince you of what we’re doing. With our senior team plying their trade in the Nigeria National League, we resolved that our home ground wouldn’t be far from the obtainable global standard.
