The Management of the Nigeria National league - NNL has banished Osun United to Ilorin as punishment for their infractions in their week 4 NNL home game against Vandrezzer FC, a game that was livestreamed on the VFC TV App, website and Vandrezzer FC Youtube Channel and seen by fans and viewers.
Vandrezzer FC management applauds the NNL management for providing hope that the league will enforce their rules and regulation and help grow the game in Nigeria.

In the statement released by the NNL, it was noted that:
“Large number of spectators gained entrance into the stadium despite our Covid-19 protocols and closed door directives.”
“Osun State Football Association and Osun United FC enforced gate takings at the match venue.”
“Spectators prevented the match officials from going back to the dressing room at half time”
“The Cables of Vandrezzer FC video crew were sliced, their video cameramen molested and video cameras seized by supporters loyal to Osun Utd FC.”
“There were chants of intimidations and harassments on match officials by the Supporters of osun United FC.”
“That the security provided by the state Football Association were inadequate and ineffective.”
In the light of the above, the NNL decided as follows:
“ Osun United FC will play their subsequent home matches at Ilorin township Stadium, Kwara State. Osun Utd is therefore enjoined to liaise with Kwara State Football Association on the matter.“
“Osun United is fined N300, 000(three hundred thousand naira only)for breach of Covid-19 protocols as directed by the League Body via circular 119. The payment must be made before your next home game.“
“For the breach of closed door order by Osun Utd FC and Osun State Football Association, the match is considered a no match. Therefore, it shall be replayed at a neutral ground with Osun Utd FC bearing all the cost of indemnities of the match officials.“
“Osun United FC shall replace all damaged equipments of vandrezzer FC that were spoiled during the week 4 league match.“
“That Osun Utd FC and Osun State Football Association are given 7 days to produce the supporters captured at the video recorded for further sanctions. Failure of which shall compel the League body to report the matter to the Nigeria Football Association for further investigations and sanctions.“
“That Osun Utd FC Chairman, Osun State Football Association Secretary alongside the identified culprits should appear before the compliance unit of the Nigeria National League on Tuesday 16th March, 2021 at the Secretariat of the NNL, Abuja by 11am prompt.”
Osun United were given 48 hours to appeal the decision to the Disciplinary Committee of the Nigeria Football Association.
