Vandrezzer FC have finalized the signing of goalkeeper Segun Alabi from Nigeria National League (NNL) side Joy Cometh FC.

The 24-year-old has penned a two-year deal and will unite with former teammate Michael Ipaye, who has also completed his move to the Lions of Naija.

Born in Lagos in 1996, Segun began his professional career at C.O.D United, where he made 150 clean sheets in 250 games. The experienced goalkeeper has also featured for Crown FC, Kogi United, and Remo Stars in the past.

After signing his contract with VFC, Segun said: "The management has been really nice to me while on trials here and I'm proud to be part of the Lions of Naija family."

The former Supreme Court shot-stopper is an immensely talented goalkeeper, who made the keeper spot his own at his previous club.

He helped Joy Cometh FC squad gain promotion to the NNL in 2019, having featured in all of their games as they finished the campaign unbeaten.

Segun also featured in VFC's 2-1 preseason win against Team Lagos in January - a game where he communicated effectively with his defenders, used the ball well, and was composed when under pressure.

VFC is glad to have Alabi join the team and wish him a successful stay.

Kaabó Alabi!
