Vandrezzer FC have beefed up their attacking options with the acquisition of experienced striker Okon Otop Eta from NPFL side Abia Warriors.

The striker who has been on trials with VFC , fulfilled his dream of playing for coach Rafael Everton, having penned a season deal.

"I felt happy when coach Everton called me because I have always wanted to play under him right from when he was the coach of Akwa United," Otop said in an interview with VFC Media.

Otop's signing also represents a significant boost to the club's technical crew who have the enormous task of taking the Lions of Naija into the top-flight.

"I came and saw what I never saw even in the NPFL. The training facilities and equipment are top class. I feel at home here as the management is understanding, friendly and we are like a family."

Otop, is the sort of attacker who prefers to drop into the midfield and interlinks brilliantly with his teammates.

The former Heartland striker is also dominant in the air and can disrupt defensive lines with his slick, and dynamic play.

During the 2016/17 campaign, he scored eight goals in 15 matches for Warri Wolves.

He later moved to Go Round FC, where he became a cult hero. He helped them gain promotion to the NPFL in 2017 and was their top scorer during the 2018/19 campaign, having notched seven goals in 12 appearances.

Last season with Abia Warriors, he bagged three goals in seven matches.

Best of luck Goal King, you're welcome to the VFC Family.
