Players' COVID-19 Test gets underway

We are glad to announce that VFC has kicked - off COVID-19 test for players ahead of the upcoming league season.

Six of our players conducted their tests today in Uyo and Abuja as part of our protocol before players return to camp.


Defenders Godwin Ekpo, Ekerete Udom; midfielders Lawrence Effiong, Uko Anietie and  winger Samuel Bassey, were among the first batch of players to carry out their tests in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. 

In Abuja, midfielder Michael Nelson had his test at the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital.

Those in Port Harcourt, Ilorin, Kano and other parts of the Nigeria will form the second set  of players to carry out their  COVID-19 tests next week. 

The last set of tests will be done after the upcoming screening exercise which is expected to be held in the second week of November. 

Meanwhile VFC's latest signing Luiz Henrique's 2nd COVID 19 test result returned negative. The experienced Brazilian right back who arrived Nigeria two weeks ago had been self isolating, and would now proceed for his medicals and unveling this coming week.
