PLAYING FOR VFC IS LIKE PLAYING FOR A EUROPEAN CLUB - DANIEL

It has been an unprecedented last seven days for our young goalkeeper Emmanuel Daniel, who made his VFC debut in last Sunday's game against 3SC.

Daniel, who was recently promoted to the senior team after some eye-catching performances for the U23 team, replaced goalkeeper Edwin Nwakamma to become the 1st VFC academy graduate to feature for the senior team this season.

The 19 year old who has kept a career 40 clean sheets in 75 games wants to keep developing his game at VFC as he believes the club has the facilities and structure to be compared with European clubs.

"At VFC, I have a great platform to show my talent to the world as the structure here is superb.

"Great facilities, good football pitch, and training equipment. Playing for VFC is like playing for a European club.

On his debut, the former Young Stars FC and Junior Rangers player added: "My debut was a very surprising one, but I was happy the coach trusted me in such a big game."

Daniel is an exciting goalkeeper to watch. Despite his tender years, he is extremely confident in goal and distributes the ball well.

The Akwa Ibom born player now has the chance to establish himself as an authority in the first team as he's line to make his first start for the senior team when we host Dynamite FC this weekend.
