As part contributions towards stemming the novel coronavirus in Nigeria, Vandrezzer FC donated cartons of hand sanitizers to the Lagos State government on Friday, March 20, 2020.

The cartons totaling twenty five (700 bottles) were delivered to the Lagos House Clinic, Marina, by Vandrezzer FC management team led by the club Manager, Fatai Olayinka, and consisting
the Group & VFC Secretary Philip Iseh, VFC Merchandise Sales Coordinator, Chibuike Onyenanu and
Vandrezzer Energy Head of Operations, Yinka Ajani.

According to Olayinka, the decision to support Lagos was due to the fact that the state is hardest hit by COVID-19 and the major entry point into the country.

“Lagos is the major entry point into Nigeria and needs every attention because anything that happens in Lagos will likely spread across the entire country” said Olayinka.

He also added “our major sponsors, Vandrezzer Energy has it’s corporate office in Lagos, so it’s very apt that we give back to them”.

Receiving the hand sanitizers on behalf of Lagos State government, resident doctor Lagos House Clinic, Dr Dipo Olurin expressed gratitude at the gesture, describing the Vandrezzer Group as a whole, as a responsible organization that understands the essence of corporate social responsibility. Dipo said “I assure you that this gesture will not go unnoticed in our fight against the dreaded virus which is ravaging the world. We would put these items to the best use and by God’s grace, COVID-19 will be defeated in Nigeria and the entire world”
