This evening, the Champions of Lagos had their final training session ahead of Friday’s Match Week Four game against visiting
The training was overseen by head coach Henry Makinwa and his assistants Yemi Olanrewaju, Ashley De Beer and Patrick Udoh, while Technical Director Jonathan Pepper, Sports Science Director Chris Barnes and Academy Coach Alfred Madaki watched on.
All squad players took part in training at the Teslim Balogun Stadium turf this evening, with no injury worry reported by medics.
Put through routine drills, strategies and sequences, the Lions looked very business-like and well as refreshed to roar against Osun United on Friday.
Striker Somtochukwu Abraham who was not included in last week’s traveling squad to Abeokuta, was one of those brimming with anticipation right after the training session.
“I look forward to featuring tomorrow as long as the coach okays it. This is a match we are all eager to win and put smiles on the faces of the fans and management.”
For assistant captain Samuel Edoho, the players have put behind last weekend’s unfortunate outcome behind them.
“We have all resolved to put the first loss of the season behind us and focus on what’s next. Lots of factors negated our game but the coaches have helped us think only about the game ahead.”
Defender Opara Abraham said: “I felt really bad we conceded the goal on Abeokuta and I wish Indid more to prevent it, but there’s nothing we can do to change that now. All we want to do now is win, and God willing, we will.”
Kick-off is 18:00 GMT + 1
