Thank You, Dame Comfort Ani

We celebrate our Septuagenarian Dame Comfort Ani for her untiring support to the club, both financially and with prayers.

It is important to note that Dame Ani has been actively involved in sports for many years and has remained an ardent sports lover and a firm believer in the Nigerian project. We present her brief sports bio ...straight from her pen:

β€œMy interest in sports grew from track  to field events. 100-200 meters dash at the age of 12 (Primary school) At the age of 16 (secondary school) I joined the championship league of AAA in schools sports. I featured in hurdles, pole volt and Javelin. I left pole volt with a record of 5ft 8ins height. I continued with Basketball as a captain until I sustained an Injury which, though was not life threatening, made my mother insist on my change of school from Ikot Ekpene to Awka. where I captained my   basketball team until I passed out from secondary school in 1966. In late 70s, the zeal for sporting events consuming me, pushed me into forming a supporters club for Mr Alagoro, a feather weight boxing contestant from Post and Telecommunications (P&T). I later became his team manager and we won nearly all our tournaments. VANDREZZER and MAN U are my clubs at home and in diaspora. At 70 plus my love for soccer is plus plus ++...It revitalises me.”

May God give you long life Mum.

We in Vandrezzer FC celebrate your loyalty.πŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎπŸ‘πŸΎ
