Two years after our creation in 2019, VANDREZZER is on the brink of making history when we face Box to Box FC in the final of the Lagos FA Cup.


The game takes place at the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 with kick-off scheduled for 16:00 GMT + 1.


The Naija Lions kicked off their FA Cup adventure with a 1-0 victory against Jo Sportyne FC courtesy an early strike by Savior Isaac, before a 6-5 penalty shootout win against 36 Lions in the round of 16 following a goalless regulation time. VFC went on to comfortably defeat Messiah FC 2-0 in the quarter finals to book a place in the last four of the competition.

The competition get merrier in the semi final on Wednesday afternoon when VFC conceded for the first time in the tournament, going behind at half time against defending champions Smart City FC. The response was to score five times in the second half, thrashing our opponent 6-2 in game which was broadcast to the globe VFCTV. 

VFC have now scored 9 goals in four matches, conceding just two, posing the best defensive record in the tournament.

With our impressive performances in this competition, we owe our sponsors and millions of dedicated supporters a trophy to celebrate this festive period in style and a chance to represent Lagos State in next year’s Aiteo Cup.


VFC scored five times in the second 45 minutes against Smart City in the semi final, showing strength and depth with Olalekan coming on from the bench to make instant impact with a brace.

Coach Yemi Daniel has the whole squad to choose from, with Lekan Abdulsalam making the headlines and pushing for a place in the starting XI. There are no injury concerns in the camp of the Lion’s .


Relatively unknown outside Lagos State, Box to Box FC qualified to the after a 2-2 draw, winning 6-5 on penalties against Gbagada FC in the semi final.


1. OLALEKAN ABDULSALAM: Three goals so far in the Lagos FA Cup, our new fan favourite came off the bench to wreak havoc on Smart City, and is in fine form heading to the final with the golden boot in sight, which adds extra layer and motivation for Lekan.

2. KABIRU POPOOLA: One of the stars of the semi final with a brace from midfield, Kabiru is already feeling at home and ready to continue his dominant display from midfield. The Governor as he is fondly called, is a handful for opposition teams to deal with, and will be one of our key players in the final.

2. SOMTOCHUKWU ABRAHAM: Four goals contribution (2 goals and assists) in the last two starts for Somto, the boy is on fire and is in a rich vein of form for the final.
