Vandrezzer FC’s Vice President Bruno Tupere insists the club is not distraught as drizzles turned into a heavy downpour on Day Two of the Garden City Tour in Portharcourt, Rivers state.

Speaking in the wake of the downpour which saw to the cancellation of the widely publicised game against NPFL side Rivers United on Thursday, the Lions’ number two man says the setback doesn’t imply the end of the vision of the club.

According to Bruno : ” I wish we had control over the elements. These are some of the things you really can’t plan for and you can’t do anything about when it happens, but life is built on hope and this is only a set back, not the end of our desire to change the face of Nigeria Football”.

Vandrezzer FC were billed to play Rivers United by 4pm on Thursday February 27, as part of itinerary for our Garden City Tour at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, but game was put off after about an hour of downpour with the pitch saturated with water.
