Everything you need to know about VFC's NNL Matchday 10 fixture against Campos FC.

We are back at the Lions Den to take on 11th-placed Campos FC on Friday, April 8, 2022, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos by 16:00Hrs GMT.

The Lions return home after a spirited performance however marred by poor officiating which saw 2-1 comeback win for Ekiti United last weekend. This means the Champions of Lagos are without a win in their last three games (2 draws and 1 defeat), but remain undefeated in five matches at home.

Vandrezzer FC are currently placed 7th in Group B1 of the Southern Conference with 10 points from 9 matches.

Campos FC are among the four teams in the division who have failed to pick a single point on the road. The Owerri side have lost all of their four away matches this season, scoring a solitary goal against Bendel Insurance two weeks ago.

This will be the first meeting between Vandrezzer FC and Campos FC.

Coach Henry Makinwa will be without centre-back Bassey Odiong who sustained a muscle injury against Ekiti United on Sunday and is ruled out for two weeks.

Saheed Obisesan and Somtochukwu Abraham have both returned from their injuries but are not fit enough to make the matchday squad. Meanwhile defender Habeeb Olaitan is yet to recover from a malaria bout that hit him over a week ago.

“It’s not easy to get over things like what we witnessed in Ekiti, when you get cheated in your own face without any help or any correction coming, you get frustrated. It’s been tough.

“Playing at home is the same thing playing away with Vandrezzer FC because like one popular message that ‘we are against the world’. With the officiating, when you bring a chance, people will attack you but we are up to the task, we have been doing well, we are developing, we are progressing collectively, individually, technically, tactically, and physically.

"We are playing home and we are ready for the game. The boys will be out to give their 100 percent, at the end of the 90 minutes we are going to win. We want to win and hope we don’t have any shortcomings.

“The boys are ready. When I see them, we talk and they know that the game is gone and the next game is against Campos."
