The Lions will face 6th-placed Ekiti United on Friday, May 27, 2022, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Lagos by 16:00 Hrs GMT.

The Champions of Lagos are 3rd in Group B1 of the Nigeria National League (NNL) Southern Conference after picking up 10 points from a possible 12 in the last four matches.

The Lions recorded their first victory on the road this season after completing the double over Campos FC with a 1-0 win last weekend in Owerri.

Defensively, VFC have been solid, conceding just a paltry one goal in the last four matches while ensuring they find the back of the net in the last six fixtures, scoring 8 times in that run.

Vandrezzer FC last tasted defeat in Ado Ekiti against Ekiti United in a game that was marred with poor officiating which the referee manufactured a penalty for the home side after coming out from the tunnel 20 minutes late for the second half.

Meanwhile, Ekiti United have a terrible record on the road this season, failing to pick any point away from home. They have conceded 16 times, scoring once against Bendel Insurance in a 2-1 defeat in Benin.

This will be the fourth meeting between the two sides in the NNL. Ekiti United has the upper hand in the fixture with two wins while the Lions won at home last season. Five goals have been scored and the fixture is yet to witness a draw.
