Players and officials of Vandrezzer Football Club (VFC) have landed in our new home base in Lagos, ahead of the next weekend's 2020/21 Nigeria National League season kick off.

A contingent of 28 players and 5 backroom staff left Uyo, Akwa Ibom State at noon, Friday 22nd January, 2021 aboard Ibom Air, and landed at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos at exactly 1.15pm later in the day.

The Lions who traveled amid stringent Covid-19 protocols having undergone the test before arriving Lagos, would play their home matches at our new home ground, the Agege Township Stadium.

It would be recalled that earlier this month, we officially announced plans to relocate to Lagos from Akwa Ibom state, as part of our strategic business plan to further position the club as a global football brand in Nigeria and Africa.

VFC appreciates the Government and People of Akwa Ibom for the warm hospitality accorded during the club’s one year stay in the State.

The Lions also appreciate the warm welcome accorded to them by the government and football administrators in Lagos as well as from the fans and supporters all over the country and the world in general as they look forward to exciting times delivering passion and style to fans in their new home.

According to the League fixtures released on January 15, 2021, VFC first travels to Ogwashi Ukwu, Delta State, to face Delta Force in a Week One fixture to be played on Saturday, January 30, 2021.
