Godwin Ekpo scored the winner as Vandrezzer FC came from behind to win their first game at the Agege stadium, their new home ground.

The opening goal came against the run of play as Vandrezzer dominated the early exchanges with Alberico Silva and Kolawole Daniel going close.

However, a moment of brilliance from former Golden Eaglets striker Wisdom Ubani made the difference in the eight-minute.

The skillful attacker drifted past two Vandrezzer players before firing past goalkeeper Segun Alabi as Team Lagos scored with their first shot of the game.

Vandrezzer's biggest threat was from set-plays and it didn't come as a surprise when their equaliser came from a corner kick in the second-half.

Centre-back Suleiman Jamiu reacted fastest after Team Lagos failed to clear Alberico's corner-kick.

Alberico was at the heart of everything good for Vandrezzer after that and an in-swinging cross from the Brazilian was headed home by Ekpo Godwin for the winner.

There was a late scare for Vandrezzer as goalkeeper Segun Alabi had to be treated on the pitch after a collision, but he was able to finish the game.

Meanwhile, substitute Ivo Junior had the opportunity to add a third goal but was unable to beat the goalkeeper after going past his marker in the 18-yard box.

The win is a major boost for Coach Raphael Everton as Vandrezzer prepare for their Nigeria National League (NNL) opener against Delta Force FC next weekend.

From the coaches:

Coach Rafael Everton: "I'm happy with the way the boys played, it shows we've started getting a grip of the astro turf. With  lessons from this game and a few changes here and there, we are sure to hit the ground running next week."

Coach Yusuf Adesina: "Not the result we expected, but we played against a well organized side. We are honoured to play this game with them, and it's an eye opener as we continue to prepare for the national sports festival."
