Vandrezzer FC's technical crew have completed a coaches' training to further refresh their scope of the beautiful game.

The five-day course which kicked off in the second week of May and ended on Tuesday June 1, 2021, organized by Bundesliga side Mainz 05, who had their International Development Coach Robin Hasenclever as the keynote instructor of the programme.

Hasenclever took the VFC technical crew on the modern science of football and techniques and how to bring out the best in players.

The training which x-rayed the importance of a well documented club football philosophy serving as bedrock upon which the club strategy and match tactics are built upon. Club philosophy a must have for every club the instructor admonished!

At the end of the clinic, VFC head coach Tony Bolus described it as "educative and adventurous, especially learning from a German football perspective. It has definitely added a lot to our knowledge."

The virtual programme ran for ten hours over five days spread until the first day of June.

The training was in furtherance of the VFC strategic partnership with Bundesliga giants FSV Mainz 05, after the Digital Talent Day held simultaneously at the Soccer Temple Agege, Lagos and the Opel Arena, Rhineland, Germany on April 11, 2021.

Reigning Champions League winning coach with Chelsea, Thomas Tuchel, and his Liverpool counterpart Jürgen Klopp, also a Champions league and Premier League winner,  are products of the Mainz 05 coaching school.

Mainz 05 also have a very good history with Nigeria,  as four Nigerian internationals have featured for the club -  Anthony Ujah, Leon Balogun, Taiwo Awoniyi and Andrew Uweh, who is currently VFC's Academy coach.

Vandrezzer FC...won't walk that road without you!
