Vandrezzer FC will be looking to make it six straight games without a defeat when they host Nilayo FC at the Agege Stadium on Saturday.

The Lions of Naija showed resilient attitude in the 0-0 stalemate against Delta Force last weekend and will be looking to have more cutting edge in Week 2 of the Nigeria National League (NNL).

Team News 

Acting head coach Alfred Madaki is expected to be in the dugout. Madaki, who joined the club from Joy Cometh FC before the start of the campaign took training on Thursday and Friday in the absence of coach Rafael Everton who's still recuperating.  

Midfielder Anietie Uko won't feature as he's serving a one-match ban following his red card against Delta Force. 

Attackers Ivo Junior and Golden Udo-Inyang started against Delta Force, but are not available for this fixture.

New signings Okon Otop and Rasaq Noah are in line for their debuts, while exciting winger Michael Ipaye is back in the squad after missing the trip to Delta.


We head into our opening home game in good form, having kept three clean sheets in our last five games - Remo Stars (1-0), MFM FC (0-0), Delta Force (0-0).

Goalkeeper Edwin Nwakanna has been responsible for two of the clean sheets and could continue in goal following his brilliant showing against Delta Force.

For Nilayo FC coach by Sunday Olusoji, they got a morale-boosting 2-1 win over Nnewi United on matchday 1 courtesy of second-half goals by James Ekebuike and Kabiru Popoola.

They're currently placed 2nd in Group B1, just below leaders Shooting Stars on goal difference.
