As a football club that engages people of different kinds, we believe in an all-inclusive society, and totally frown against discrimination of special people.
That is why we join the whole planet today in marking the World Autism Awareness Day, to help garner support for people living with the condition.
The United Nations defines autism as a "lifelong neurological condition" that develops during early childhood. Also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder, the condition constitutes a diverse group of conditions related to development of the brain, according to the World Health Organization.
We call for “Inclusive Quality Education For All" in line with the theme for this year. Access to quality education for autistic persons is very pertinent to aid them in having a better chance at relating with the society and achieving dreams, irrespective of their disorder.
If they can’t learn the way we teach, we can teach the way they learn.
To our autistic supporters, please know that:
There's no limit to what you can do. You do not need to say how much you love us, your actions tell. Your support is measureless, and we value you a lot at Vandrezzer FC.
Part of activities of the soon-to-be launched Vandrezzer FC Foundation will be to support people and families living with autism. Consequently, we will be calling for contributions from our supporters soon, to see to the success of this project.
People living with autism are everywhere in our society.
Let’s love and support them.
